The Orlando Sentinel calls the newly formed pro-freedom, human rights group an anti-Islam hate group for trying to help apostates but never identifies CAIR as an un-indicted co-conspirator, Hamas tied, Muslim Brotherhood front.
Needless to say, they have pulled the article. Libel is libel and slander is slander.
And if you can, please contribute to Geller Report. YOU make the work possible.
They call this journalism. "Miami-Dade Transit Drops
Anti-Islam ads," by Jeff Kunerth in the Orlando Sentinel, April 19:
Miami-Dade Transit has decided to drop bus advertisements
sponsored by an anti-Islam hate group after complaints by the South
Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
The South Florida CAIR asked that the ads, produced by the hate group
Stop the Islamization of America, be dropped because they promote
bigotry and may fuel discrimination against ordinary Florida Muslims.
"We believe Miami-Dade Transit did the right thing in dropping this
campaign of hatred and intolerance," said CAIR-SFL Executive Director
Muhammed Malik. "The advertisement's reference to apostasy is merely a
smoke-screen for the promotion of anti-Islam bigotry and the attempted
marginalization of American Muslims."
Robert added this comment:
Your characterization of Stop Islamization of America as a
hate group is not only inaccurate, but libelous.
SIOA stands for the freedom of speech, the equality of rights of all
people before the law, and the freedom of conscience (as exemplified by
these bus ads, designed to protect those threatened with death for
leaving Islam, in accord with Islam's traditional death penalty for
apostasy, which comes from Muhammad the Islamic prophet's dictum, "If
anyone changes his religion, kill him").
All of these are denied in Islamic law. Would you then defend their
extinguishing and characterize their defense as "hate"?
Please note also that the Council on American-Islamic Relations is an
unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case, has had
several of its officials convicted of jihad terror activities, and has
opposed every anti-terror measure introduced since 9/11.
Which one is the "hate group" again?
The Orlando Sentinel ought to be ashamed to publish this defamatory
And I added the comment I posted on Jaweed's smear piece at The Miani Herald:
Notice how the journalist, Jaweed Kaleem, does
not have any comment from me (as Executive Director of SIOA, it was my
initiative) or anyone from my organization respond to this breach of
contract and violation of free speech.
Further, he prints,
unchallenged, the remarks by un-indicted co-conspirator, Hamas tied and
Muslim Brotherhood front, CAIR without so much as mentioning who and
what they are. The slander and accusations CAIR has fabricated and
published about me and my associate Robert Spencer is libelous.
'crime' was responding to the inquires from desperate Muslims seeking
sanctuary from the dangers of leaving Islam.
SIOA and FDI are human
rights organizations seeking religious freedom, individual rights
protections and free speech.
We have filed a lawsuit.

Your contribution supports independent journalism
Please take a moment to consider this. Now, more than ever, people are reading Geller Report for news they won't get anywhere else. But advertising revenues have all but disappeared. Google Adsense is the online advertising monopoly and they have banned us. Social media giants like Facebook and Twitter have blocked and shadow-banned our accounts. But we won't put up a paywall. Because never has the free world needed independent journalism more.
Everyone who reads our reporting knows the Geller Report covers the news the media won't. We cannot do our ground-breaking report without your support. We must continue to report on the global jihad and the left's war on freedom. Our readers’ contributions make that possible.
Geller Report's independent, investigative journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our work is critical in the fight for freedom and because it is your fight, too.
