On the British Soldiers

Iran’s mission accomplished, the British soldiers were released last night and sent home sans their military garb  and instead clad in Iranian cheap suits. As if  Iran could remove their honor, dignity, courage. The fifteen Royal Navy sailors and marines held captive by Iran returned home Thursday to a nation relieved at their freedom but outraged that they were used for propaganda by Tehran.

I found yesterday’s press conference particularly loathsome. The poison dwarf, Ahmadinejad, presiding over, basking in the glow, of the world press. His remark about recognizing all countries except Israel said it all. His objective and blood lust satiated. Victor Davi sHanson is write, Iran is begging for a bombing.

Brigitte Gabriel of American Congress for Truth was
on Glen Beck last night discussing this issue. She had it exactly right, when
she said: “Glenn, we have Israel as the only democratic country in the
Middle East, the only civilized nation in the Middle East that is like the
United States that is in the middle of a sea of hatred and venom that the Arabs
are spewing to wipe her off the map.

Thank G-d the soldiers are home. With those animals it is not to be understated.

Those British soldiers were very brave – anyone in their situation would have acted and done the same. If we know anything from hostages taken in decades past, you do and say what you are told or you are tortured physically and/or mentally.

It’s interesting to note that the female soldier, Faye Turney, a married mum,  was forced to wear the Islamic headscarf .

The sight of a non-muslim Western woman forced to submit to the
misogynist Islamic headscarf demonstrates the bigotry of the Islamic
government of Iran and echoes the forced "conversion" of an American
reporter and cameraman to Islam when they were captured by Palestinian
terrorists last year. More here

Meanwhile,  Nancy Pelosi wore it willingly (outside of the mosque.) Asshat.

Brazilian Neocon said;

The real problem is with the British military and their absurd rules of
engagement – they were not allowed to engage the Iranians as they seized their
soldiers, they had to ask for authorization for their central command, which is
pretty dumb.
BTW, if the Dems have their way, that’s the future for the American rules
of engagement too… Toothless, restrictive, ineffective.

It seems clear to me that these are the lessons we should be learning from this incident. Primarily, not to ever put our fine men and women in such a vulnerable position. Much has been written of how easily these soldiers were seized. That must change.
