She Got Away!

A week or so ago I blogged about a missing Muslim girl who converted to Christianity. I wrote: Atlas Shrugs: Fathima Rifqa Bary: I hope she got away.

Police had been looking for information about Rifqa,  a central Ohio teenager who
vanished nearly three weeks ago.

The teenager's cell phone has been turned off and her Facebook account deactivated, Kocot reported.

According to police, the girl's friends told detectives that it was possible she ran away because of conflicting religious beliefs in her home.

She's alive! And in court in a custody battle that could send the girl to her death. I pray they have experts who know about honor killings testify. Family members who have lost their relatives to honor killings (for less) should be giving testimony. Amina and Sarah Said's aunt Gail Gartrell should speak; Robert Spencer should speak; Phyllis Chesler and friends ofMuslim Faith, Christianity Clash In Orlando Courtroom

ORLANDO – An Ohio runaway teenager, Christianity and the
Muslim religion met head-on Monday during a custody dispute in an Orlando
courtroom.

Dhimmitude.

The girl, 17-year-old Rifqa Bary, recently converted from her family's faith
to Christianity and she is worried about her family's reaction to her change in
faith.

"She says her life is in danger and she could be killed in an honor killing,"
Rosa Gonzalez, the Apostate teen's lawyer, said after the hearing. "Unfortunately it
happens every day in the U.S."

The young woman has been staying with an Orlando family she met through a
prayer groupRifqa bary on Facebook for several weeks.

The teen had been staying with Beverly Lorenz and her husband, pastors of the
newly launched Global Revolution Church in Orlando. Bary is now in the custody
of the Department of Children And Families.

Lorenz said the teen hitchhiked to a Greyhound station in Ohio, and then took
a bus to Orlando.

The girl asked Lorenz if she could come to her house. Even though she barely
knew the girl, Lorenz said it was OK.

The teen, a non-citizen, told Lorenz she was fearful that her father would
send her to Sri Lanka.

After the girl arrived in Orlando, Lorenz said they called an abuse hotline
and started calling lawyers, asking what they should do.

Another hearing is scheduled on Friday. However, DCF officials say it a
matter to be decided by Ohio authorities

I think as many good folks as possible should contact the court. Try and track down the info and I'll post. This girl must be saved.

She'll also need witness protection of the trial.

Honor court

Her day in court today.
