Over at Salon, Chris Stedman, the Assistant Humanist Chaplain and the Values in Action

Coordinator for the Humanist Community at Harvard, has published a vicious piece attacking me for calling attention to the persecution of gays under Islamic law. This comes just days after San Francisco's Board of Supervisors unanimously passed a resolution condemning my ads standing up for gays. Stedman and the transgender head of the San Francisco Human Rights Commission, Theresa Sparks, could form a new organization: Gays for Sharia.

Stedman is a chaplain? Now that's a mouthpiece: a chaplain who smears and defames. What will Harvard think of next? In Stedman's headline, he calls me a "Crusader," despite the fact that I am…Jewish. That gives you an indication of the quality of Stedman's inflammatory smear.

More indications of how Stedman plays fast and loose with the facts came when he describes me as misrepresenting a proposed Islamic Community Center in lower Manhattan as the Ground Zero mosque. Uh, Chris, it is a mosque, and it's in a building that was destroyed in the 9/11 attacks – that is, at Ground Zero. But don't let the facts get in the way of a good lie. Stedman trots out that venerable leftist, opportunistic, and very well-compensated fundraising machine, the SPLC, that deems every proud patriot a threat (yes, a threat to progressives). And he says that I have spent millions. Not. Even. Close. If I had that kind of money, my ads would be everywhere.
In justifying Muslim oppression of gays under the Sharia, Stedman pulls out the old "religion-based bigotry" card, but fails to mention that Christians and Jews are not slaughtering gays under canon law or Jewish law.

It is wild to me that this nasty little man is turning himself inside out to defend an ideology that hangs gays in public, tears their faces off with a razor blade in Gaza and makes them parade down streets with latrine cans on their heads. And he claims I have no support among gays. Let him talk to Michael Lucas, the famous gay adult entertainment magnate. "I just returned from Tunisia (and I travelled half the Muslim world)," Michael wrote me today, "and I think gay Muslims, or I should rather say gay Arabs, would agree with your ads because they know first hand the persecution they undergo on a daily basis, It is a shame that, instead of fighting for the rights of LGBT people in Muslim countries, 'political gays' are fighting against you. You are doing a fantastic job uniting people against evil and waking Americans up. Gays should join your movement."

Only one thing to relieve the incessant cacophony of demented bigotry: maybe, with any luck, North Korea could actually nuke San Francisco and much of the West coast. As Obama has become soooo flexible in his foreign policy…

Homosexual people in the West think Muslims are victims of Islamophobia as homosexuals are alleged victims of homophobia.
So, now a days, homosexual people in the West sympathize with Muslims and Islamic Shariat.
And, when Islamic Shariat will put nooses around homosexual people’s necks, homosexual people will declare that there is no God, but Allah and Islam’s Prophet Muhammad is the messenger of Allah.
Homosexual people will also admit that Allah lives in Saudi Arabia and Saudi Arabia is an ally of America.
If homosexual people from the West go to Saudi Arabia, Saudi government will chop off the heads of homosexuals from their shoulders.

You are free to hate “homosexual people” all you want and accuse them of any “sin” you want, but it is only YOUR ignorant opinion, you self-righteous fool.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but many gays are discriminated against because of their sexuality. And they are killed because of their sexuality. Are you going to say that over 4,000 gay people who have been executed since the islamic revolution in Iran, are “alleged victims of homophobia”?
Face the truth, baby – you’re just a sad hateful excuse for a human being.

Excellent article!
Stedman’s smear job proves that he’s more interested in defending islam than protecting other gay people. So is the SF Board Of Supervisors.
Ms Geller, I have nothing but deep respect for you and admire your work for the Jewish community (even though I’m not a Jew, but a Christian) and everyone else, including gay people.
You are probably aware that many conservative so-called Christians will demonize you for that support. I’ve read the comments on the American Thinker website and a lot of them are very hostile. I’m surprised that some of these conservatives don’t join forces with islamic thugs or neo-nazis to bash the homosexuals. It seems like a more natural coalition than the alleged “gay-muslim” coalition.

Gays in the US have the same mental flaw as Christians have about Christian persecutions in Muslim lands…’It’s happening ‘over there’ and not over here…The Jews in Europe said something similar pre ww2…’It can’t happen here’…but it has and it will…Super ignorant’s like the SF officials, others, and creepzoids like Nathan Lean and this Stedman character are enablers…By their actions and attitudes, they support sharia law that supports killing gays among other evils…If you support evil, and protect evil, you are evil…these low lives might as well convert to Islam and do the shahada dance…

Pam ,from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU! This is what Stedman didnt want his readers to see, what a sad empty creature he is. Wonder why it is that facts do not matter to this spineless creature, is it his atheism? Im not done with him for trying to interfere with the indiegogo fundraiser, I saw a tweet that he intends to keep badgering them about it. I wonder if he really exists at all or is using a fake online persona.

While, as a Christian, I do NOT agree with the Gay/Lesbian lifestyles, these people need to educate themselves a little more about islam and the islamic view of homosexuality.(I, personally, don’t want to see anyone put to death for this…no matter how I feel about it.) According to the qu’ran they are to have a”wall pushed over on them” and this includes the “doer” as-well-as the “doee” and it makes no difference if it was a forced act…just like rape.(The poor girl will be stoned because it was “outside” of marriage.)In any case,it IS a death sentence under islam. This is why one never hears about this…even though there are many G&L in islamic countries…it IS a death sentence. ANYONE that thinks we should “just let them have their way” in regards to shar’ia has NO idea what shar’ia is or what it is about… and the “it won’t affect me” attitude could eventually be a death sentence because THAT is one of the “core beliefs” in islam. If you are not “a believer”, in other words, an infidel and refuse to say the “shahadda” then under islamic law(shar’ia) you are to be put to death.

That is very true, good post. If there is an islamic ‘shahada’ dance, don’t do it in Afghanistan; the taliban execute anyone who dances since it’s ‘unislamic’. lame pieces of shit eh?

Some gays may be so self-loathing and self-hating that they’re into any kind of gay-bashing, even queer killers like muslims. Others are stupid just like anybody and just “don’t get it” and they won’t. Some gays are just so left-wing they’re trained to be that way, and so that’s it. liberalism really is a mental disorder. supporting bloody barbarian savages is wrong! Society used to have standards.
