Houston Chronicle’s @DylanBaddour: #JeSuisCoulibaly

Nothing I said is in the article. He wasn’t clueless, he was a complicit cynic — yet barely out of diapers. Shouldn’t freedom be a young man’s cause? His questions went like this; “Jihad, what’s jihad?” “Sharia, what’s sharia?” “Do you think there is jihad in America?” “Do you think there is sharia in America?” “Where is free speech in trouble in America?” “How?”

And typically, he supports a jihad against the Jews:

“Houston Chronicle’s Dylan Baddour: #JeSuisCoulibaly
dylan baddour tool

by Pamela Geller, Breitbart, 20 Feb 2015
#JeSuisCharlie? Really? Here is a glaring example of how divorced from reality and aligned with the foes of free speech the mainstream media is today: in a story about the Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest that my organization, the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), is hosting in May in Garland, Texas, the Houston Chronicle’s Dylan Baddour takes a firm stand in support of the slaughter in the cause of Sharia restrictions on free speech.

From the very first paragraph, this useful idiot smears, defames, and libels the few brave defenders of freedom left in our contemporary cultural cesspool.

#JeSuisCharlie is not merely a hashtag, it is a battle-cry in defense of freedom. Something young Americans know little of and understand even less.

“A New York-based anti-Islam activist,” Baddour writes, “is stirring up trouble in Texas. Weeks after French gunmen killed 12 people at a newspaper office in retaliation for cartoon illustrations of Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, blogger Pamela Geller is offering a $10,000 prize for artists to submit their own drawings of the prophet.”

Did Baddour call the Muslims troublemakers who, in the wake of that massacre of cartoonists meant to avenge Muhammad, held a conference called Stand With the Prophet in Texas? Did he denounce them for validating the line of thinking that led to the murder of those Muhammad cartoonists? If Baddour had been James Foley, he would have asked them if he could sharpen their knives for them.

“Gellar,” Baddour writes, misspelling my name, “is a vocal leader of a sect of Americans who believe Muslims are trying to take over the United States.” Got that? Americans who believe in freedom are now a sect. In what larger context this could be true, I shudder to think. And never mind the captured internal Muslim Brotherhood document that said that their goal in the United States was “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house.”

Baddour piles lie upon lie and distortion upon distortion. He says that I “said Muslims want to repeal the U.S. Constitution and is banned from the United Kingdom for her affiliation with alleged hate groups.” That is patently false. I never said that Muslims want to repeal the U.S. Constitution. Then he says that the United Kingdom banned me for my “affiliation with alleged hate groups.” That’s not why they banned me. There was no mention of such a thing in the letter the U.K. Home Office sent me. I was banned because the British authorities were afraid Muslims would riot if I entered the country. They were giving in to the heckler’s veto.

“Newsweek,” says Baddour, “has dubbed her crowd the ‘Islamophobia network’ for their generally profound-yet-unfounded fear of Muslim people.”

Baddour calls the burning of churches, the slaughter of journalists and cartoonists and firing on free speech debates at a cafe in Copenhagen, the kidnapping of non-Muslim girls and their being forced into sex slavery, the ongoing jihad attacks and threats, and all the rest of it a “profound-yet-unfounded fear of Muslim people.”

Baddour props up the Stand with the Prophet and even amends its name to a later version of it, “Stand With the Prophet Against Terror and Hate,” when their objective of that conference, the silencing of criticism of Islam, became national news.

Another falsehood in Baddour’s piece: “Geller said her May 3 event, and the $10,000 prize, will be funded through private donations, and that she has not signed on any artists yet.” It’s not true that I have not signed any artists yet — we have over 60 submissions from artists. So what is he talking about?

Baddour quotes a CAIR rep (shocka!), Ruth Nasrullah who says I’m generalizing about 1.6 billion Muslims based on what just a few of them do. No: Baddour and Nasrullah are doing that. I’m talking about the jihad threat. Also, millions of dead, countries conquered, slave markets, and more are not just a few examples.

“Last week,” Baddour adds, “the Washington Post reported ‘anti-Muslim hate crimes are still five times more common today than before 9/11.’ This is yet another false claim. void of facts. FBI statistics say just the opposite: that hate crimes against other groups, particularly Jews, are far more common than those against Muslims.

The lies just keep coming: “Geller also said the Islamic State group was evidence of the repressive nature of Islam.” I didn’t say that.

When I went looking for a picture of this clown Dylan Baddour, I knew that he’d be young and stupid. The product of an educational system so compromised that it passes off Leftist and Muslim propaganda as fact. One has to question what is being taught in journalism schools when reporters produce articles that are so completely devoid of fact and full of lies.

Why would a journalist carry water for the most radical and extreme ideology on the face of the earth — one that threatens his very life and livelihood? It’s the cultural sewer he was raised in. But when mainstream media outlets like the Houston Chronicle print this nonsense, they spread Dylan Baddour’s ignorance and sympathy for the enemies of freedom far and wide.

I went to a public college for a year in California and quit. They force you to take a class about race to graduate. In the -$80 book I was forced to buy, was a whole chapter about the Jewish oppressors on Palestine. The other chapters were fun topics about the prison industrial complex, forcing blacks to be slaves in prison, America is a colonial country, stealing the wealth from other countries. It made me sick. I’m an adult with my own convictions, thank God I could stand up to it. These kids who are impressionable don’t have a change. Read the communist manifesto, this is exactly what they planned.

Houston has become a cesspool of all things unholy. I mean, look at our city government. Our own mayor had to leave the jurisdiction of Houston, TX, to ‘get married’. The white flight started 10-15 years ago, but it continues to dribble out the remaining ‘old-timers’ which includes me.

Our HPD has many allegations of LE ‘rodeos on Mexicans’ long before it became fashionable to bash the police. It was also before the saturation of illegals in the 4th largest city in the country.

I’m from Atlanta, Georgia and I’ve seen the larger the city’s population, the larger the crime and decadence. Houston is a magnet for the LGBT crowd as Annise Parker extends her warmest invitations.

Couple that equality-for-all with the President’s known Man’s Country membership (along with Rahm Emanuel), and his past associations with gay members of the church he went to for 20 years and the results are what we see today. They have arrived and become part of the “fabric of the successes of the dynamic city of Houston.” (**eye-roll**)

Austin, TX, our capital, is liberal La-LaLand and they have migrated to Houston and infected the city with Blue Talking Points.

Thank God for the pastors of Houston, (many of them are black pastors) who pushed back against this mayor and her anti-Christian, anti-First Amendment Rights tyranny.

We pray for Miss Geller, protection and safety FIRST! She’s too valuable in the whole scheme of things to not give her the provision that comes by praying for her.

Be blessed and vigilant young lady, todah rabah

What a tool. I went to school for journalism, too, but I didn’t turn into a liberal bottom feeder. Well, thinking back, I guess I kind of was in my early days. There’s an old saying that goes something like this – ‘if at 20 you’re not a liberal, you have no heart. If at 40, you’re not a conservative, you have no mind.’ I will bet his arrogant, haughty liberal mindset will change once he marries, has kids, and figures out he’s paying through the nose holes in taxes. That becomes oh so important, once regular, every day life takes hold.

Baddour is an idiot kid who deals with the world by categorizing and judging people, which ultimately defines what bigotry is. In his world if you are critical of Islam or Muslims you have to be a hater of all Muslims. (Of course it’s OK to be critical of Christianity and/or Judaism, just not Islam because that’s racist.) He’s just another brain dead liberal IMO.
For one thing, Baddour has no idea of the diversity of people who read this blog. As far as I can tell the readers run the gamut from Conservatives to Progressives who value freedom, from all over the world.
I’m curious about what’s happening in the Middle East, and interested in religion and politics and liberation, and I’ve taken an interest in the struggle of Islam in the modern world. What do Muslims believe and why do Muslim societies function the way they do? Why are they so defensive about their prophet? How is Islam different from other religions? Where does the terrorism come from, why did 9-11 happen? Etc. Does that make me part of a sect or a hate group? I certainly don’t think so.

When the Muslim Brotherhood was formed in the 1920s in Egypt they famously chanted “The Quran is our constitution” in opposition to secular law and governance. This became part of their slogan, along with dying in jihad being their highest goal. Of course the MB is the founding organization of every major well known Islamic group in the US.

So while it is not fair to say all Muslims would scrap the US Constitution, there is no doubt all political Islamists would do so, as they have admitted in private on many occasions. Support for sharia is over or around 50% in the overall Islamic population in virtually every poll I have seen. Tunisia is the outlier where support is down around 20%.

“Gellar,” Baddour writes, misspelling my name,…

He misspelled Pamela Geller’s name because he was thinking about popular tv actress Sarah Michelle Gellar, aka “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and, more recently the animated series “The Robot Chicken.” That is his mentality. And, yes, I had to look up Gellar’s credits, as I do not watch “The Robot Chicken.”

The Houston Chronicle is a classic case of me-too leftism. They have an inferiority complex. Even the most mundane reporting is leftist in outlook. The same can be said for city government (more left-wing then thou) or the premier college, Rice. These institutions are all trying to become relevant to the left-wing cognoscenti. Pathetic really. All the “right winger” live outside the city limits so county government is a savior.

Baddour is not worth talking to. How did he get a degree? Basic journalism, get your names right, don’t embellish or fictionalize facts or quotations. Media, leftists and Muslims:They are somehow united GLOBALLY, speaking in same terms and logic EVERYwhere and EVERYtime. Whereas people like us? We are like small pockets here and there. You are USA, we are Indians, you fight your way we fight in our own ways, but you don’t talk about Hindus that much or don’t even know what’s happening to us in India AND vice versa. This is what they are exploiting. You send your missionaries who deceive and induce Hindus to convert to Christianity. Not done. I would like us all to stand together in the cause of Humanity and Humanity means standing for what is right.
