NEW YORK, PR Newswire: The prominent human rights organization American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI), its Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) program and the Virginia Anti-Shariah Task Force (VAST) will be hosting the first-ever human rights conference dedicated to exposing the plight of women under Islamic law in Dearborn, Michigan on the anniversary of the honor murder of Jessica Mokdad: the Jessica Mokdad Human Rights Conference.

The Jessica Mokdad Human Rights Conference will be held at the Hyatt Hotel in Dearborn. After bowing to Islamic supremacist pressure and canceling a speech by Pamela Geller that had been scheduled for a Hyatt in Nashville, Tennessee, the Hyatt reversed its stance, recovered its understanding of the American principle of free speech, apologized and offered AFDI space in a Hyatt for a future Conference to make it up the human rights organization. Geller chose the Hyatt in Dearborn to stand in solidarity there with girls who are in danger of being victimized like Jessica Mokdad.
Jessica Mokdad was a 20-year-old Muslim woman in Warren, Michigan, who was brutally murdered in May 2011. Fox News Detroit reported: “Authorities say a Minnesota man killed his 20-year-old stepdaughter in Michigan because she left home and wasn't following Islam.” Jessica’s stepfather, a devout Muslim, tracked his stepdaughter over four states to murder her for bringing dishonor on her family.
AFDI Executive Director Pamela Geller said in a statement: “We’ve named the Conference after her as part of our ongoing campaign to raise awareness and bring a stop to the phenomenon of Islamic honor killing. These girls have rights, too, they’re human beings, and yet they’re completely forgotten in our politically correct culture, in which speech that is offensive to Islam is increasingly forbidden. We’re standing for the human rights of girls like Jessica Mokdad.”
Geller added: “AFDI tried to place ads on Detroit-area buses offering help to people wishing to leave Islam and threatened by their families. Detroit SMART Transit refused the ads, and we sued on free speech grounds. We won, and the ads were scheduled to run, but Detroit SMART still refused to run them – and the same week they were supposed to run, Jessica Mokdad was murdered. Perhaps if she had seen one of our ads, she would be alive today. This underscores the cowardice of Detroit-area officials and the need for this Conference in Dearborn. We welcome women seeking help and resources to escape dangerous and misogynist households.”
The confirmed list of speakers includes ex-Muslim human rights activist Nonie Darwish; Sudanese ex-slave and freedom fighter Simon Deng; and James Lafferty of the Virginia Anti-Sharia Taskforce (VAST), co-host of the Conference. Also speaking will be David Wood of Acts 17 Apologetics, a Christian group that is suing the city of Dearborn for covering up Islamic honor killings performed in the area – that cover-up, and the resulting suit, will also be a focus of the Jessica Mokdad Human Rights Conference.

Pamela couldn’t have picked a better location or a better topic for this conference. I hope Muslims in particular will pay heed and reflect on their legacy.
One of the fallacious arguments denying the Islamic roots of honor killing and other violence against women is that people of other religions do it, too. Yes, but only where they have been influenced by Islam — as in the Middle East, Spain (700 years under Islamic rule), and former colonies of Spain and Portugal. The Hyatt is giving us this space to make up for their spineless surrender to thugs in Sugarland, Texas. The response from patriots was overwhelming. They received hundreds if not thousands of letters, emails, calls of protest. Do you really think they would risk that again?

I think it’s very cool to see David Wood included in this event. He’s displayed knowledge, calm, and courage facing Muslims both in debate and on the Arab Street (which is unfortunately found in Dearborn).

Robert Spencer in his book THE POLITTICALLY GUIDE TO ISLAM on page 77 wrote “As long as men read and believe the Quran, Women will be a despised second class citiziens.” That says a lot on this subject in itself.

If Hyatt executives hold on to their pants this time,they will deserve recognition. Because between now and April they will be under a shower of threats, and if they manage to told to their seats and the event does take place, we know that the musloids will go wild, and it wouldn’t surprise me if they resort to violence.
Hyatt did not imagine you would choose the core of the musloids’ nest. They don’t know you!

Shruggers, you know very WELL that the war is upon us. Something tells me this upcoming event in Detroit has more significance than we can describe. We MUST surround this conference with prayer. Caution and physical strength will help us but it will not win the day. The Love of God is what transforms lives. I know that Atlas and Robert and David are already in prayer about this. We must back them up in every prayer that we can lift.

I wasn’t taking you to task. I merely felt that Fortitude,as in having the STRENGTH to keep FIGHTING for Good & Right against the Forces of Evil is Courage’s partner in Pamela’s Genetic Code.
Pamela’s choice of WHICH Hyatt and WHERE is a brilliant WIN-WIN for us.
If Hyatt doesn’t ” pull anything “.SIOA has come to Dearborn and all that means.

@Choi — Well anyway, the courage we are talking about, fortitude, is mental strength, which is deeply rooted and unshakeable in those who possess a moral center, but completely lacking in those without. Might explain why our present foreign policy is constantly shifting and incomprehensible.

Just a couple questions:
First, is it a good idea to send letters of thanks, ahead of time, to the Hyatt for sponsoring this event and upholding our constitutional right to freedom of speech?
Second, have you ever considered airing events such as these via the internet? That way if someone is unable to attend they may still do so through the internet. It believe doing so would also raise revenue and help further the cause of getting this information out to as many people as possible. I plan to attend in Dearborn, but if I’m unable I’d be more than willing to pay whatever price, both to see the event AND to contribute to the preservation of our freedoms.
Finally, Pamela, you are truly a hero of this great nation and set a standard of character we all should strive to achieve. I admire your courage and your strategic aptitude in choosing Dearborn for this event. Thank you for all you do!

If there is any trouble, report it immediately to the FBI. They are on our side. I reported both Hotel cancellations to the FBI as soon as I read about them.
Here are the two FBI training videos that Holder outlawed. They explain the best way to fight Sharia Law is to drive a wedge between the people and the Sharia Law Governments. This is exactly what Pamela will do with this event.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that this Conference will be a great success in Dearborn.
I just found something with potential on the Verum Serum site: Could it be that there is, at last, a genuine feminist group (unlike the fake “feminist” groups in the USA) that is ready to expose islamic gendercide and the systematic islamic destruction of muslim women?
The “Femen” activists of Kiev have vowed to conduct a worldwide movement against both political and religious exploitation and oppression of women everywhere. They are currently having a growing impact across Europe, and they have their sights on the USA and various islamic countries for their next protests.
Starting at around 2:43 in the following video, two members have this response in an interview; “…we receive [many] letters telling us to continue fighting against religious injustice towards women…especially in the muslim states. We are even ready to [demonstrate] in Iran, and other islamic states.”
Let’s just say that these brave women have a “pop culture” approach to their demonstrations that, I hope, can finally open the eyes of young “gen-x” and “gen-y” men and women to the desperate plight of victimized muslim women worldwide.
