Thug devleoper Sharif El- Gamal is treated with kid gloves. No mention of his rap sheet, his bullying of moderate Muslims against the mosque, or of the fact that he was just evicted from his office. He was a waiter a couple of years ago, and suddenly became a BSD developer on the medicare fraudster's dime: his financier, Hisham Elzanaty, was a large funder of Hamas (exposed in the Holy Land terror funding trial) while defrauding medicaid out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Worse still, Imam Feisal Rauf was packaged like a big fuzzy teddy bear. Nothing about his previous first performance on 60 minutes. It was right after 911, and Rauf blamed America for the 911 attacks. "Osama Bin Laden is made in the USA." Watch that video here.
He, too, was given a free pass. Nothing on his sanction of Hamas or his role in the jihad warship flotilla. Imam Rauf, the self-described "head coach" of the global strategic initiative — audio here (his "players" include "the President of the United States, or the President of Malaysia, or the President of England" [sic]), said the following in tonight's 60 minutes episode:
"It's my duty as an American Muslim to stand between you, the American non-Muslim and the radicals trying to attack you."
More threats from this snake. He is going to save us ….. from jihadists? Who is going to save us from him? Please, Rauf, get out of the way, we'll save ourselves, thankyouverymuch.
His motive to build a mega mosque on Ground Zero was made painfully clear in this quote in the NY Times back in December 2009, announcing the Ground Zero mosque, and subsequently scrubbed from the article.
“New York is the capital of the world, and this location close to 9/11 is iconic,” Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf
A presence so close to the World Trade Center, “where a piece of the wreckage fell,” Imam Feisal added, “sends the opposite statement to what happened on 9/11.”
How's that?
“Building so close is owning the tragedy."
Rauf is the self-described "head coach" of the global strategic initiative and I'm the "conspiracy theorist?" Then again, CBS minutes thinks Oliver Stone is a ……… genius. So much for investigative journalism.
Crawling Out from Under the Rauf Pamela Geller, American Thinker
Look what's crawling out from under the Rauf. Without his Albright résumé and subdued rat and vermin slumlord whose tenants live without basic services like hot water. He scammed New Jersey politicians and got taxpayer dollars for rehabilitation of his infested, dilapidated buildings in Union City and Palisades Park, but still his victimized tenants live in squalor. So where's the money?
The New Jersey Record reported that Rauf was sued for mortgage fraud in 2008 and settled the suit in June of that year. The suit reveals that Rauf owns two apartment buildings, one of which has been vacant since a fire broke out there — a year after Rauf ignored citations for twelve different fire code violations.
That's not all. It has also recently come to light that Rauf and his wife, Daisy "the Con" Khan, listed their apartment as a mosque in order to conduct what amounts to tax fraud. Rauf was able to obtain tax-exempt status for his Muslim organization by deceiving the Internal Revenue Service: he told them that five hundred Muslims met regularly for worship at a "mosque" that was actually a tiny one-bedroom apartment (also listed as Daisy's residence). Rauf sought "church status" — an official IRS term for a house of worship of any religion (though stealth Rauf, I am sure, is working the feds to change that term) — for his organization, the American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA), and the clueless feds granted the request.
Gaining "church status" means much more than just that your organization doesn't have to pay taxes. It also means that you have very little accountability about how you spend your money.Is New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg still kissing the backside of this "bridge-builder"?And that's not all that's unsavory about the money that's pouring into the building of the mega-mosque and the people connected with this scheme. Rauf's thug developer in the project to build an Islamic supremacist mega-mosque on Ground Zero, Sharif El-Gamal, has a rap sheet a mile long. He recently wrote that "when you beat up someone physically you get exercise & stress relief," and it seems clear that he a large funder of Hamas (exposed in the Holy Land Foundation jihad terror funding trial) while defrauding Medicare out of hundreds of thousands of dollars.Tell me again: where is this thug getting 125 million dollars? El-Gamal is now being evicted for non-payment of rent for his SoHo office.Meanwhile, Rauf continues to be open about his support for Sharia. This week he made this wild and Islamic supremacist claim: "90% of Sharia law is fully compatible — not only compatible — it's consistent or compatible with American constitutional law and American laws. The areas of difference are small and minor."The objective of the stealth jihadists and the Muslim Brotherhood proxies in the U.S. (CAIR, ISNA, ICNA, MAS, MSA, et al.) is to impose Islam and Sharia on the U.S., and so it is with Ground Zero Mosque Imam Rauf.
Rauf is mainstreaming the Sharia and the jihad ideology. And in suggesting that those of us defending American freedom and opposing his Ground Zero mosque are "extremists," he is trying to place 70% of Americans squarely on the same moral playing field as the Muslim terrorists who flew planes into buildings and have since committed close to 20,000 Islamic attacks of violent jihad across the world. The media and government fawning all over this subversive imam as he does this shows just how deeply we have been infiltrated by the enemy.
Make no mistake: Rauf did this. Rauf created this maelstrom over the Ground Zero mosque. Rauf created this divisiveness. Rauf created this fight, and he is loving every minute of it. It's all Islam, all the time. He could have done the decent thing months ago and shown some modicum of human compassion by moving the mosque. He is incapable of that, and everybody knows it.
How much more has to come out about him and his thuggish pals before New York politicians start to wake up?

The Imam portrayed himself as a man of peace and a man of reconciliation. Pamela Geller portrayed herself as a liar and offers nothing but hate-filled hyperbole. The mosque is already there. Build the Islamic community center and stick it, Pamela.

You are absolutely correct; why the media is running scared and refuses to actually report the facts is dishonest and reprehensible. The media ignores what is happening in Europe–the 750+ ‘no-go’ zones in France that strongly discourage non-Muslims from entering or passing through; and where sharia law trumps French Law.
I personally believe that the media and governments are AFRAID of Islam–remember, they do have hit lists and are not afraid to murder without repercussions.
It wouldn’t surprise me if you are at great risk by speaking out; the last thing they want is truth.
Pam, you are a true patriot and America is in your corner–continue to be brave and speak out.

Pamela Geller made valid points regarding the masque. Although it is legal to build a mosque and worship, it is extremely insensitive to build that close to ground zero. It is offensive to demand legal rights at the expense of a wounded populace. Americans are always expected to be sensitive to the needs and feelings of every minority, yet no other entity need ever show compassion towards us. I believe in all of the freedoms this country offers to everyone who chooses to live here. I just wish things were a little more reciprocal between us and those who live here yet never try to embody those American characteristics that we hold dear like empathy, compassion and good will.

If you didn’t advertise that there was ANYTHING on CBS, I’m not sure how many would have known that CBS even had ANYTHING regarding the mosque. NO ONE I know watches CBS, NBC or ABC. We are all tuned in where we WANT to be tuned in at. It’s pull NEWS and not PUSH news anymore. There is CNN and FOX but really those are secondary. How many viewers were there anyway? It would be interesting to find out.

That was disgraceful by CBS and Scott Pelley but it’s what I’ve come to expect from them. It’s why I stopped watching ’60 Minutes’ years ago. Too much ‘cocktail party’ journalism by lazy journalists like Pelley, NY Times, et al. and not enough thorough investigative journalism by people like Ms. Geller. So whom did 60 Minutes interview for their forumlaic celebrity interview for their third segement?

FYI, I just wrote about this. 60 Minutes falsely said that Geller coined “Mosque at Ground Zero”/”Ground Zero Mosque” in December 2009, then showed her Human Events article from September 2010 without the date. It’s the least that’s wrong with the story, but it’s the thing that should bring a correction.

SUMMARY
60 Minutes clearly must issue a correction. Pamela Geller was not the first blog to use “Mosque at Ground Zero,” and the article shown was clearly and knowingly not even her 2009 article.
There’s a lot more wrong with the story, such as questions not asked and people not asked, but you don’t get a correction for stuff like that.

Pamela, you scored big in my opinion, despite the pro-islam , pro-GZM piece 60 minutes aired tonight. It contained many newsworthy omissions of fact and only provided an inept and superficial interview of the NY native real-estate developer “hey look at the gym” guy and Mr. ambassador of peace “better do what we want” imam. Nonetheless, you where able to counter their view points truthfully and wisely in the short time they allowed you and after much editing I’m sure.
Even some of the people sitting next to me watching the piece who are unaware of true islam and the real significance of this mosque where appalled at this unabashed CBS propaganda stunt, passing by as journalism.
We love you Pamela, and who are we? 70% of the American people, Keep up the outstanding work.

And if the Pentagon was (somehow) totally destroyed on 9/11, it would be a sign of reconciliation if it was rebuilt in the shape of a crescent.
An honest Muslim with good intentions simply would not propose the building of a Grand Mosque on, or anywhere near, GZ.
And, no, El-Gamal, 9/11 cannot be pinned on you, personally, but it can and should be pinned on your faith.

Anyone who believes in the koran is an imbecile and a psycho. “JTW” believes that the earth sets into a mud puddle at the end of each day and that the earth is flat. Also, here’s the first story presented on this show where they’re in afghanistan and they’re talking about an enemy that “just won’t back down” and “they’re coming in wave after wave” and it was making me REALLY pissed off. I mean, it’s like they’re complimenting the enemy. Fuck CBS. I hate them as much as I hate geraldo (and that’s a lot). So then they go to this mosk bullshit and just COMPLETELY ignore the FACTS about islame. Pamela, you need to know that I started reading your blog back in 2004. It was you that educated me in Islam, then I started reading JihadWatch Robert Spencer’s guide to Islam that was featured at HotAir. My whole world opened up through the books written by Robert Spencer, Mark Stein, David Horowitz, Daniel Pipes and your most recent book that I read at night with my 12 year old son The Post-American Presidency, I could go on. He has developed a truth in his heart about the importance of Jewish history (we are Catholic) freedom of speech in the age of Jihad, our American sovereignty and international law ( which led to John Bolton’s book Surrender Is Not an Option ), the importance of honoring veterans and the elitism taking over our country. My father served 35yrs in the military, my regret is I didn’t take more time to really ‘hear’ what he was saying about communism, nazism and OUR country. I go to atlasshrugs everyday because I KNOW you tell the truth, you have always backed up your news story with a link thats been factual. Ms. Gellar your passion IS telling the truth for that is your legacy and that truth is carried in my son. God Bless you, I can not thank you enough! Amir Taheri has an interesting article in which he says that the structure proposed at Ground Zero is more in line with a Rabat than a Mosque. It’s part of Ground Zero since the building had been damaged on 9/11/2001 and vacated as a result. So perhaps we should label it as it truly is – the Ground Zero Victory Rabat.
In the article Amir writes: “In fact, the proposed structure is known in Islamic history as a rabat — literally a connector. The first rabat appeared at the time of the Prophet.”
“The Prophet imposed his rule on parts of Arabia through a series of ghazvas, or razzias (the origin of the English word “raid”). The ghazva was designed to terrorize the infidels, convince them that their civilization was doomed and force them to submit to Islamic rule. Those who participated in the ghazva were known as the ghazis, or raiders.”
“After each ghazva, the Prophet ordered the creation of a rabat — or a point of contact at the heart of the infidel territory raided. The rabat consisted of an area for prayer, a section for the raiders to eat and rest and facilities to train and prepare for future razzias. Later Muslim rulers used the tactic of ghazva to conquer territory in the Persian and Byzantine empires. After each raid, they built a rabat to prepare for the next razzia.”
“It is no coincidence that Islamists routinely use the term ghazva to describe the 9/11 attacks against New York and Washington. The terrorists who carried out the attack are referred to as ghazis or shahids (martyrs).”
“Thus, building a rabat close to Ground Zero would be in accordance with a tradition started by the Prophet. To all those who believe and hope that the 9/11 ghazva would lead to the destruction of the American “Great Satan,” this would be of great symbolic value.”

The only good part about the 60 minutes piece was that I heard Pamela Geller and found her blog/website. Thank you CBS for allowing me to join Ms Geller’s cause! I didn’t know about her until your “I love Galam puff piece” last night. Oh, I think you at CBS called it Ground Zero mosque.

I attempted to watch the 60 Minute piece, knowing Pamela has the truth behind her and she can take care of the facts, thank you…however, the spin and distortion from CBS got so bad, I could not finish watching. CBS and the MSM continue to push crap because they can rightly expect ignorance from the American people. Are they feeding the crocodile, hoping it will eat them last? (thanks to Mr. Churchill)

You know what they say when someone points a finger? There’s three pointing right back at the person making the accusation. Truth is not just about presenting accurate facts, but ALL THE FACTS. That’s something this 60 min idiot still needs to learn.
It is shameless how he portrayed Pamela Geller, fierce and offensive and opposing Rauf’s friendliness and approachability, without providing any reason for Pamela Geller’s reaction. It’s just a witch hunt. All I can say is it’s a good think that these people have gone on record with their witch hunts because they need to face some kind of justice one day, when our children learn that they have been paying for our mistakes.

If JTW is claiming that Imam Rauf is a “man of peace” then JTW would understand what Sharia law is and why Imam Rauf is pushing it in America.
Do you know what Sharia Law is? If so, do you know whether or not its compatible with the Constitution? If you don’t know the answer to this, how can you judge whether or not Imam Rauf is really a “man of peace”.
