Bastille Day erupts: Riot police drag protesters away as they heckle Macron during parade
BASTILLE DAY celebrations were interrupted when riot police were forced to drag protestors away as they heckled the French President during the parade.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel joined Emmanuel Macron for the traditional Bastille Day military parade in Paris, which this year honoured European military cooperation. As Mr Macron was riding by at the start of the parade, he was greeted by people in the crowds who turned their backs, booed and whistled. Before the parade, he delivered a message to the French people and said he wanted to highlight France’s “irrevocable commitment to consolidate French and European security”.
He said: “Never since the end of the Second World War has Europe been so necessary.
“The construction of a Europe of defence, in connection with the Atlantic Alliance … is a priority for France. It is the theme of this parade.
“Acting together and strengthening our ability to act collectively is one of the challenges that the European Intervention Initiative, along with other key European projects, wants to address.”
But some “Yellow Vest” protesters were detained near the Champs Elysees as they tried to stage a protest, according to French police.

Riot police try to put out the firesFrench police fired tear gas to stop the protesters from the Champs Elysees avenue, a few hours after President Emmanuel Macron had presided over the Bastille Day military parade alongside other European leaders.
The boulevard in central Paris was reopened to traffic as soon as the parade finished but a few hundred protesters from the grassroots ‘yellow vests’ movement tried to occupy it.
France’s BFM television showed images of police firing tear gas to disperse the protesters, some hooded, who tried to block the road with metal barricades, dustbins and other debris.
Several loud bangs could be heard, while protesters hurled objects at the police, booed and set a bin on fire.
Earlier, a French police source and a court source said some 152 ‘yellow vest’ protesters and their leaders had been detained near the Champs Elysees as they tried to stage a protest.

Authorities had banned all yellow vest protests around the area, but several demonstrators managed to get on the avenue.
Weekly demonstrations by yellow vest protesters, who named themselves after the high-visibility jackets they wear and mostly over the cost of living, are said to have dwindled to just a few hundred people over the past few weeks.
Back in November, there would be crowds of around 300,000 protesting every Saturday.
After riding down the Champs Elysees boulevard in a military vehicle escorted by motorcycles and a cavalry procession, Mr Macron joined other European leaders.

This included Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
The parade also featured drones, miniature autonomous vehicles, soldiers armed with anti-drone guns, and what looked like a “flying soldier” – a man swishing in the air on a flyboard, drawing cheers from the leaders and spectators.
Bastille Day commemorates the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789, one of the key events of the French Revolution and has become a national holiday in France.
Around 4,300 soldiers, around 200 vehicles and more than 100 aircraft, some from other European countries, are taking part in the parade that was opened by Spanish troops.

The day is known for the phrase “liberty, equality and fraternity” to be used during celebrations.
Festivities are not just held in France but around the world where French nationals live.
Large events are also held in South Africa, the USA, Belgium and Hungary.
Mr Macron’s European Intervention Initiative is a 10-country coalition of European militaries ready to react to crises and the French-led initiative, which includes Germany, Belgium, Britain, Denmark, Estonia, the Netherlands, Spain and Portugal, was launched last year.

Seriously all those fossil finds in Africa are valueless. When the ice age was at its peak only the southern fringes of Europe and Asia were habitable while Africa was only so in its upper half. To assume that as most “finds’ come from Africa, that man originated there is statistical rubbish. Before the major ice ages man could have originated anywhere on the planet although Europe Asia and Africa are the more likely areas. But to remove the former two purely on the absence of finds is ridiculous as glaciers grind finely and any area of glaciation is unlikely to give any human fossils. For several thousand years in the west artefacts such as remains etc. found in caves and elsewhere were looted scrupulously by man and only archaeology’s rise put a slow brake to that. Thus it is quite possible that any remains from the say “Lucy” era may well have been lost centuries ago. Like climatology, anthropology and archaeology are in the hands of leftists and woe betide you and your tenure if you dissent.

Such ancient fossil finds are only likely possible in areas not subject to glaciation and that is why they are found mostly in Africa. In addition to assume that the first man had black skin assumes that he rose in a hot climate and there is NO proof of that. Like the reptile skins placed on bipedal dinosaurs for a century or more (instead of actual feathers) they are simply guessing then pushing it. ie, Africa = black skin, However during an ice age north Africa would have been temperate. so even their logic is faulty let alone their assumptions.

With each ice age humans would have had to contract to the equator(no Mediterranean then) to survive. there would have been isolated groups who stayed on the fringes of the glaciers but the largest groups would have moved into north Africa and the Mediterranean basin both of whom would have been temperate (no evidence at all for central America at this time level and some scattered such in Asia). Thus most fossils there are undersea or under sand and to assume that mankind first started in Africa is a false premise It is possible but by no means certain. I do not agree with Stringer as he speaks from the standard prayer book of PoMo anthropology.

It’s hardly knowledge but simply logic applied to the known effects of an ice age on humans with only subsistence capacity. The fact that logic impales their POV is an indictment of these views. BTW another one is already overdue(certain within 1000 years) and the climate freaks want to hurry it up by cooling. If anything the CO2 rise has slowed it down. as when it comes 90% of humans will starve as most really arable land will be lost. Perhaps that kind of purge is the point of an ice age : )

Yes it is . Remember what we see now(ie obvious macro signs of glaciation) of past ice ages is only of the recent lesser ones as the signs of the most severe older ones have been mostly masked as you approach the equator by vegetation, erosion, desertification, the creation of new river valleys and the shifting of terrain by multiple causes. At the most severe ice age any humans who then existed did so on a small equatorial rind on the planet. What I find hard to swallow is the current position of the equator as it simply does not fit with the remaining last severe ice age evidence and I have wondered for ages if the equator was some 15 to 30 degrees further north. Now I know that the north pole was once near the Great lakes and that tilt would place the equator firmly on North Africa as well as changes elsewhere. IMO far too many anthropologists ignore such “trivia”.

It would explain much to me but I don’t think that it is widely accepted as they seem to think that there is no relationship between geographical poles and magnetic ones. I am loudly speculating with the minimal evidence TBH. If we are all alive when the magnetic poles “flip” I am sure that we will find out as the magnetic north pole is already moving east quite quickly ( it was a magnetic pole that was in the great Lakes area). Such a change in the earth’s axis would have to be subtle as if sudden it would be catastrophic to like in earth(hmmm…who needs asteroids?). From my looking at the literature it is only the amount of axis change that is debated over the millennia so IMO there is no doubt, but 30 deg?? Perhaps they do need to rewrite prehistory as they seemed to have missed the plot here.

Macron salutes the Europe he wanted but does not quite have. The one he wanted is no more, and he helped do that to his country. It is the Obama Effect. He has learned to smile and wave while his people are left out to hang. His goal is a Utopian Europe, but he is taking active steps that will destroy it.
Macron does not remember the stories of the Muslim Europe of the Middle Ages. He is so thoroughly entrenched in keeping Europe from World Wars that he has forgotten there is a back door. In trying to prevent the evil of Europeans conquering each other that he forgot about the non-European threat. It is there for the rest of the world to see. He was blinded by tunnel-vision and lousy advice.
What is left in Europe that is worth saving was the culture. There are excellent museums and artwork in public places. The architecture of old Cathedrals and grand buildings were tourist destinations, in the past. Now the area is hollow, and people have given in to their leaders’ demands, despite great personal losses. This is no longer Utopian. It is Orwellian.
Some poorer countries in Europe resisted the invasion. It was easy to do, once they ignored the wealthy part that was asking them to take in migrants. As a poor country, they could not support a Welfare State, as seen in Sweden, Germany, or France. Without this welfare, migrants didn’t come.
So, I estimate that Europe as we know it is gone. We now see Eurabia, waiting to be a caliphate. Those poorer countries that did not succumb to the first wave of invaders will be overtaken once the rest of Europe dies. They can not support themselves.
In a few years, there may be another major war between Oriental powers and the Islamic countries. Nobody else will have the resources to sustain a war, but the Islamics have fanatics, and the Orient has the human resources to fight that many people.
There will eventually be a shift in power guided by finances. We are spending our money propping up the newcomers, spending our money on food, clothing, and shelter, not to mention human services like the court’s system. They will either bankrupt us or leave us too poor to pursue any battle. In the U.S., this is precisely what the progressives want.
Is it too late? Perhaps it is, and we have missed our opportunity, but we don’t ever have to give up the struggle. The fight must go on, so that future generations have a yardstick to measure where they are and how far they have yet to go to be free.
