Dogfight for McCain’s Quisling Crown: Never Trumpers Justin Amash and Mitt Romney Race to the Bottom

36

The mainstream media is frenzied over the news that a “GOP congressman” from the sad state of Michigan just said that “Trump’s conduct impeachable.” So what?  There is no there there. Palestinian/Syrian congressman Justin Amash has long been at odds with Trump and his fellow Republicans. This is just another Never Trumper who aspires to be the next John McCain. But the fight for that crown is going to be a dogfight – Romney means to have it.

Every politician knows if you want positive press, big press, bash Trump. It’s not rocket science. Meanwhile, the Jihad caucus (Tlaib etc) is cheering.

Romney calling it “courageous” is laughable. It takes courage to stand with Trump, to speak in support of Trump, to wear a MAGA hat. It takes no courage at all to be one of the bleating sheep.

Courageous’
Romney Praises Justin Amash’s Impeachment Statement

Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) said Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) was “courageous” for concluding President Donald Trump committed “impeachable conduct.”

Romney said, “I think every individual has to make their own judgment. I think it helps to actually have read the entire document. It’s a long document. It took me two full days to get through it. The second volume is more difficult to get through than the first. Hopefully, more people read it. I think a lot of people want to reserve judgment until this is played out. My own view is that Justin Amash has reached a different conclusion than I have. I respect him. I think it’s a courageous statement. But I believe to make a case for obstruction of justice, you just don’t have the elements that are evidenced in this document. And I also believe that an impeachment call is something that not just relates to the law but considers practicality and politics. I think those considering impeachment, you have to look at the jury, which is the Senate. The Senate is certainly not there either.”

Republican Justin Amash Claims Donald Trump Engaged in ‘Impeachable Conduct,’ Rashida Tlaib Praises

By Joshua Caplan,

Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) became the first Republican congressman to accuse President Donald Trump of engaging in “impeachable conduct,” citing findings laid out in special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on now-debunked collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 presidential election.

Often a lone Republican voice in Congress, Amash sent a series of tweets Saturday faulting both President Trump and Attorney General William Barr over Mueller’s report. Mueller wrapped the investigation and submitted his report to Barr in late March. Barr then released a summary of Mueller’s “principal conclusions” and released a redacted version of the report in April. In a summary to Congress, Barr said Team Mueller concluded that the Trump campaign did not collude with Russia. Further, the attorney general stated Mueller did not reach a conclusion on whether President Trump obstructed justice, stating that he and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein determined that the president had not done so.

Amash said he reached four conclusions after carefully reading the redacted version of Mueller’s report, including that “President Trump has engaged in impeachable conduct.”

“Contrary to Barr’s portrayal, Mueller’s report reveals that President Trump engaged in specific actions and a pattern of behavior that meets the threshold for impeachment,” the congressman tweeted. He said the report “identifies multiple examples of conduct satisfying all the elements of obstruction of justice, and undoubtedly any person who is not the president of the United States would be indicted based on such evidence.”

However, Amash stopped short of calling on Congress to begin impeachment proceedings against President Trump, which many Democrats have been agitating for.

President Trump and Republican lawmakers generally view the matter as “case closed,” as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, (R-KY) recently declared on the floor of the Senate. The president has repeatedly referred to the investigation as a witch hunt” and has declared “total exoneration” from any wrongdoing.

On the other hand, Democrats who control the House are locked in a bitter standoff with the White House as it ignores lawmakers’ requests for the more complete version of Mueller’s report, the underlying evidence, and witness testimony. Some Democrats want the House to open impeachment hearings, but House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), has resisted, saying impeachment must be bipartisan.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, (D-MI), a freshman who opened her term by profanely calling for President Trump to be impeached, applauded Amash.

“You are putting country first, and that is to be commended,” Tlaib tweeted. Tlaib is seeking support for a resolution she’s circulating calling on the House to start impeachment proceedings.

In contrast, Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel criticized Amash’s remarks, saying that it’s “sad to see Congressman Amash parroting the Democrats’ talking points on Russia.”

“The only people still fixated on the Russia collusion hoax are political foes of President Trump hoping to defeat him in 2020 by any desperate means possible,” added McDaniel. “Voters in Amash’s district strongly support this President, and would rather their Congressman work to support the President’s policies that have brought jobs, increased wages and made life better for Americans.”

I would love to know how there are grounds for impeachment when there is no evidence of a crime committed and anything requested was turned over.

Agreed, Felix; Mitt is a Democrat, as was his idol, McCain, perhaps there is something to it. Grasping at straws today.

Um no, patd, Romney isn’t a “fake mormon,” he is the real deal. Mormon men believe they will be god of their own planet in the next life. Romney is no different. it’s a CULT and it’s VERY similar to Islam, in that they want plural marriage, for one thing, but there are many other similarities.

I heard that from some of my friends that are ex-Mormons that they believe that they will be a God. Not all believe in the multiple wives though. I am surrounded by Mormons in my little community and I’ll take a Mormon over a parasitic feral animal muslim any day!

Trust me, I studied Mormonism IN DEPTH 4 years while living in Salt Lake City. My sister is a Mormon and I wanted to know what she had gotten herself into! ALL Mormons want plural marriage, but not all Mormons HAVE it because the state still hasn’t said it’s legal. HOWEVER, there are more than 100,000 of them in the southern part of Utah, who ARE in plural marriages! I worked for 4 different Mormons while living there and every one of them tried to cheat me out of what they promised to pay me. They also knew we WEREN’T part of their cult because we didn’t show up at their “chapels” on Sunday, so we got death threats on the phone, our home and RV were vandalized. They are NOT much different than Muslims AT ALL!

I was screwed by a Mormon builder and understand they are all not perfect and had other Moromons tell me that they were screwed by Mormons too….but you are saying that none of them in UT or anywhere ever tried to stab you, cut your head off, rape you, or blow you up right? Just wondering…I’ve been in Kuwait and Iraq and I still say that I will take any Mormon over any muslim.

This is the United States, they destroy you, but with different means. I took one of them to the labor bureau and won. He underpaid me from what we had agreed on before I worked for him. When they trash your house and your RV, they are essentially trying to destroy you! No, it wasn’t done with knives or guns, but it was still illegal and violent! I won’t “take” ANY Mormon or Muslim! Under ANY circumstances! BOTH believe they are superior to anyone who doesn’t believe as they do!

Romney is a bitter man whose unconscionable treasonous attacks on Trump confirms. He does not have the Right Stuff to become the President. A true RINO or best said Democrat who, not unlike McCain, is a Democrat feigning to be a Republican. He and Nancy Pelosi befit each other, both are out to destroy Trump and this Republic. Both are a byproduct of elitism, double-dealing and treasonous.

Mitt Romney is a total coward and WAYCIST. Looks down on Negroes. That is what a waycist is, and that’s dangerous. It leads to Negro worship.

And they are the last people you should worship. They do not invent or build anything and rely on the white man to feed and clothe them.

They are, after all, white man’s burden (said by a British Statesman more than a hundred years ago).

But don’t ever say that in front of Mitt Romney. He’ll get his mommy to slap you.

I’m not so sure his father HAD a “great name.” Mormonism is a major CULT and anyone who belongs to a cult has been compromised mentally! I know this for a fact after studying it IN DEPTH for 4 years while living in Utah!

It is starting to smell. Actually, rot.
You do something bad, then you blame a victim.
The political mess is that politics allows you to do things you might not ordinarily do, just so you can get the backing of somebody else with a different agenda. So, you call yourself Democrat, and you are supposed to march, lockstep, with other Democrats. (Okay, on Monday, everybody dress in a white dress).
But Republicans can do this as well. When one does, it is quickly noted that he/she stepped away from an issue.
We have watched the Dems bash Trump over charges they invented. it has virtually stopped Congressional action on matters of importance to all of America, (but they don’t care). Now we have a Republican who openly opposes Trump, but we wonder why. Could a family member (a son) have business connections to China, and therefore benifit from trade that may be stiffled by tariffs? Why not check.
We know Joe Biden is quiet about the Ukraine. But Biden’s life has always been strange. He is the guy who made outlandish claims about where he stood in his college graduation class. Here is a man who admitted to plagerism. His touchy-feely nature creeps people out. His stint as Vice-President was largely silent (but that is normal). He raised two sons, but that is another strange story, (actually akin to a Soap Opera). But he has never done anything but schmooze.
Amash has his reasons and they will become obvious if he continues to press the issues. He will feel the pushback. His Arab blood will boil. Just wait!
