The UN was created as World War II was drawing to a close. It was supposed to prevent another Holocaust from happening. Instead, it has become a tool of the 57-government Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which has turned it into a hysterical tool of “Palestinian” jihad propaganda against Israel. UNESCO in particular has been so outlandishly anti-Israel that last year it declared that the Temple Mount was a Muslim holy site, al-Buraq Plaza, to which Jews had no connection. So Israel is justified to slam it in this case, and right to have withdrawn from UNESCO. Why should Israel and the U.S. have continued to participate in this sad jihad charade? Now they should withdraw from the UN altogether.

Israel slammed the PX Commission of the Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) after it adopted resolutions on Wednesday titled “Occupied Palestine,” which declared that the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron and Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem are integral parts of “the Occupied Palestinian territory.”
Story continues below advertisementThe group also denounced the construction of a security fence and “other measures aimed at altering the character, status and demographic composition of the Occupied Palestinian territory.”
Jordan, Egypt, Sudan, Morocco, Lebanon, Qatar and Oman sponsored the resolutions, approved almost immediately by the commission, which consists of the 59 members of UNESCO’s Executive Committee, which Israel is not part of.
The US withdrew from UNESCO last year, and Israeli is following suit.
Nicolas Kassianides, UNESCO’s assistant director-general for external relations, ridiculously remarked at the meeting that the resolutions were adopted following close collaboration between member states, invoking “the spirit of constructive dialogue that enabled us to reach a consensus.”
Israel’s Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon stated that these latest anti-Israel resolutions served as “further evidence—for anyone who did not understand why the United States and Israel withdrew from UNESCO—that again proves that UNESCO is a body based on lies and biases, and is deliberately acting against us.”
“The state of Israel will not be a member of an organization that is trying to rewrite history and willing to be manipulated by our enemies,” Danon added.
Netanyahu: UNESCO ‘Must Stop Practicing Anti-Semitism’
Israel has long criticized the anti-Israel bias within UNESCO, where Israel and its allies are far outnumbered by Arab countries and their supporters. Since 2009, UNESCO has passed 71 resolutions condemning Israel and only two resolutions against all other countries combined.
Led by Arab countries, the organization has long been hard at work to deny the Jews’ connection to the Land of Israel and steal their history and heritage by dubbing it “Palestinian.”…

Israel should just remove the al aqua mosque and get on with it. Islam is evil and they will always be evil and under handed. Destroy the mosque and remove all Muslims and Palestinians from Israel. Jordan is nit your friend and neither is any Arab country. War is coming so you might as well get down to it.

It was not built as a mosque. It is a Jihad conquest memorial and the calligraphy on the sides are full of Koranic quotes of anti-Christian hate. It is quite a beautiful structure, the design having been stolen intact from an earlier Byzantine structure.

Curiously, elsewhere in the world (viz. Europe and the US) UN and one-world types are very anxious to alter the character and demographic composition of nations. Ironic, no?
