Facebook’s censoring of truth
Exclusive: Pamela Geller tells of lawsuit targeting federal exemption of social mediaWND.com, January 25, 2016:
The organization I lead, the American Freedom Defense Initiative, is suing to stop Facebook’s censorship of conservative voices; but as our case moves through the courts, that censorship is more virulent than ever. I recently received this email:

My name is Bernadette Boudreault and I admin numerous popular anti-Trudeau/Liberal Facebook pages here in Canada. Our pages are being deleted by Facebook with no reasons given, but now even our members are being censored. In December the two top popular pages in Canada called “Justin Trudeau Not” and my page “Justin Trudeau is an Idiot” were both unpublished, we have had to start all over, losing over 40,000 members. When my page was deleted we were post reaching into the millions every week.

Over the last few weeks I have been having problems leaving comments on many of my other pages. In the beginning I just thought it was me and maybe my computer was freezing. Now I know this is not the case. A lot of members have now been posting on many different pages on which they too are having problems leaving comments. This intentional technical issue is hurting our post reach as many members frustrated by not being allowed to comment just give up. Just this morning on another page I admin called “I hate Justin Trudeau” a member posted that she was having the same issue. In just over an hour over 50 other members have said they are experiencing the same problems. We are being censored … both pages and now our members. This is only happening on anti-Trudeau sites and this is really happening.
Now you can’t even criticize leftist political figures? This has to stop, and our lawsuit means to stop it. We are challenging Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which provides immunity from lawsuits to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, thereby permitting these social-media giants to engage in government-sanctioned censorship and discriminatory business practices free from legal challenge.
In order for us to sue Facebook (which is our intent), we first need to knock out this federal immunity statute. Our lawsuit is therefore against the federal government. We knock out the immunity, and then we can sue Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
In response, the Justice Department simply tried to dodge the issue, saying we were suing the wrong entity. But we aren’t: As everyone knows, the only reason social media can discriminate against us the way they do is because of the immunity granted by the federal government.
The DOJ also argued that there was no constitutional violation because the harm caused (the censorship) was by a private actor (social media). That is generally true, but the Supreme Court has declared that the government is responsible when it enacts laws that change the legal relationship between two groups, including the selective withdrawal from one group of legal protections against private acts, regardless of whether the private acts can be attributed to the government – and that is precisely the situation here.
We will pursue this to the Supreme Court if we have to. This issue is too important.
For years I have documented the outrageous bias of Facebook’s speech policies. These are notoriously one-sided – those who oppose jihad terror, support Israel and stand against the most brutal and extreme ideology on the face of the earth (Shariah) have been systematically blocked and banned. Just last June, Facebook took down my page and blocked me after a devout Muslim opened fire on a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. Facebook said they took down my page because of their rule against “hateful, obscene, or threatening” content.
But it is not hateful, obscene, or threatening to oppose jihad terror such as we saw in Orlando and in so many other places. Truth is not hateful or obscene. What is hateful, obscene and threatening is that Facebook is moving to silence everyone who speaks honestly about the motivating ideology behind such attacks. To get at Facebook and the other social media giants, we have to challenge the government statute first.
The left needs to handicap and shut down the opposition because its positions do not stand up to refutation and cogent analysis. That’s why the “liberals” are working hard to shut down free speech. Liberal, indeed. But we will continue to fight them every step of the way.

I had the same problem this morning on a couple of posts by Pergida Canada. Found out I wasn’t alone. Complained about it on a couple of sites and low and behold I tried about an hour later and no problem. They are fighting a battle they cannot win. Soros is experienced enough to know this so it baffles me that he has taken this tack. For as long as we have had recorded history the truth has always come forth and it will continue to do so. It is both easier and harder to censor in this electronic age but truth will never stay suppressed.

I tried to log in to Facebook one day and found my account was deleted. No warning or anything. A friend looked it up too and the link said the account had been deleted by owner or for violation of Facebook policy. Something like that. When I tried to find out why my account was deleted they asked for a copy of my ID and then a couple hours later my account reappeared. Apparently people who Facebook label as conservative (look in your interests section) are being deleted routinely and asked to show ID to prove they aren’t Russian agents or something lol. I doubt they are doing they are vigorously hunting down Sorosbots though.

Facebook disabled (banned) my account a few minutes after I posted the following extremely ‘offensive’ and dangerous comment on NBC’s comment section: “Hitler used hatred of Jews to destroy Europe in WW2. Merkel used German’s WW2 guilt, uncontrolled open borders that religious males with incompatible values from afar to destroy Europe. Different German leaders, same result.”
Then I joined Twitter. Posted the same thing on NBC news comment section. Guess what happened? Yep.
The Left can’t fight ideas with facts. Now that Trump wins, they are copying Chinese Communists method to control the media, because freedom of speech is dangerous to these ‘tolerant’ Liberals. I just joined gab.Ai, it’s an alternative to FB if you want ALL the facts, not just ones that Liberals allow.

Very popular. But they get you in quick. It took me a few days. Have faith. Also consider Voat.co (unsensored version of Reddit) and Protonmail for email and Duckduckgo.com for searches. I choose privacy and anti censorship.

I’m not on Facebook and I never will be because I don’t intend to be a product that they sell to advertisers — among other reasons, such as a love of privacy.
Maybe those who feel Facebook is essential should start a Facebook Page entitled “Gagbook” or something more clever, devoting it to posting reports of Facebook’s political censorship and organizing campaigns to fight the same.
See how long it lasts.

Companies like Facebook and Twitter are private and can basically do what they want when it comes to postings. I suspect that they have keyword filters and algorithms that sense when something violates their policies, so these pages get taken down even before they’re read, I suspect, as there must be millions of them n at this point. Who could police them all? Is there a way to contact ad!ministration? I bet if you said you wanted to do a big ad campaign, you’d get someone on the phone. 🙂 I’m a leftie, but in no way do I want to see free speech limited. Sorry to hear this is happening. Hope you get to the bottom of it.

Is criticizing “the beloved leader of Canada” allowed in principle but technically prevented?

Is Canada a kind of North Korea or something, if a citizen cannot say an opinion about the government? This is the case in my country too. The Finnish mainstream media usually does not allow any criticism of politicians, a certain religion, immigration policy or powerful people in general.

Never trust on lying media and politicians.
In may 2016 Finnish magazine Suomen Kuvalehti reported of Justin Trudeau’s foreign fans in Finland and gave an impression of a politically correct PM of Canada, who is adored and beloved by many foreigners, because of his muslim-friendly policy. This magazine pretends to be neutral, but after reading Pamela’s website I see that it’s just propaganda. I immediately understood that it must be a biased article, usually politicians are not presented as popular and beloved as Kim il …. Mr Trudeau.
On the contrary, some foreign politicians are presented very negatively in the media, just because they have defended their own people, eg Hungarian PM Orbán,.The media is lying, over and over again.
This Finnish magazine and many others too have been silent on violent muslims and censored almost all demonstrations against our idiot immigration policy.
I see some Canadians here, could you tell us something really .. of your PM?

This Finnish magazine was Suomen Kuvalehti 32/2016, which claimed that Canadian PM Justin Trudeau was popular both among Canadians and many foreigners too. This misleading article was written by Tuomas Pulsa. Of course it was part of immigration propaganda, which is very common in the Finnish mainstream media.
The whole article was dubious, because had just a positive view of this politician, and not believable. If something looks too good to be true, it is. Misleaded readers however might have taken it seriously, without understanding that it’s propaganda.

A couple of us have also found Posts disappearing in FB here in Australia. There is nothing coming up advising of removal or anything. All that happens is a short time after the post (within an hour) it has gone. Odd thing is it is only re-posts of news article items anyway. I can’t get my head around how the left leaning set themselves up as judge, jury, and executioners.

I was put in Facebook jail for seven days for posting the truth about Islam. Apparently, the self hating Jew, Mark Zuckerberg does not want the truth about Islam revealed. The following is the post that got me blocked. Should I have been blocked for posting it? Let me know.
Muslims can lie to the infidel to promote Islam called Taqiyya, so they cannot be trusted. The United States does not want nor need what has been happening to the various countries in Europe with the invasion of Muslims. Muslims will not assimilate into the American culture and Sharia Law is not compatible with the US Constitution. Islam is a political and military system masquerading as a religion. Their prophet Mohammed was a pedophile rapist, slaver and mass murderer. Muslims believe the infidels will have to convert to Islam, be enslaved or be killed. The Muslim Brotherhood calls for a “Civilization-Jihadist Process,” in which they would destroy the Western civilization from within. They said they would use the Constitution, such as the First Amendment right of Freedom of Religion against the US to further their goal of World Islam. They state, we do not want to democratize Islam, we want to Islamize democracy. That is what we want. “We Will Raise The Flag Of Allah In The White House.” They will try to push Sharia law on this country if the American people do not wake up. Again, Islam is not compatible with the US Constitution and the American culture.
