Mosqueing the Workplace: Minnesota: Muslim workers going to EEOC to force more accommodations from H.J. Heinz Co

18

Here is another example that would be in the chapter "Mosqueing the Workplace" in my new book, Stop the Islamization of America: A Practical Guide to the Resistance.

Did you not order yours? You. must. read. this. book.

Isn't it interesting how often these things happen in the Minneapolis area: it was at the Minneapolis/St.Paul International Airport that Muslim cab drivers tried a few years back to stop carrying passengers who had alcohol. It was in Minneapolis Target stores that Muslim cashiers refused to handle pork products. There have been other such incidents. And now this, which is yet another attempt to assert the primacy of Islamic laws and practices over American business practices and customs. Note also the involvement of Hamas-linked CAIR.

Story continues below advertisement

Heinz has bent over backward to accommodate these Muslim workers already: they have two prayer rooms. They just don't want them leaving work to pray outside of scheduled break Sioabookcrop times. Oh, the Islamophobia of it all!

"Heinz, Islamic workers headed to mediation," by Steve Alexander in the Star Tribune, August 9 (thanks to JSF):

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission will mediate a labor dispute between 22 Islamic workers and Dianne's Gourmet Desserts, a Le Center, Minn., subsidiary of H.J. Heinz Co.'s foodservice operations.

The Minnesota chapter of the [Hamas-linked] Council on American-Islamic Relations, based in Minneapolis, maintains that the Islamic workers were fired by the Le Center firm in December in a dispute over freedom to practice their religious beliefs, and were forcibly removed from the premises.

In a statement, Heinz called the council's statement "misleading." It said that allowances were made for Islamic workers to practice their faith and that "no Islamic employees were terminated from their jobs for requesting prayer accommodation and none were removed forcibly."

Hamas-linked CAIR lying? Why, it's unprecedented!

The dispute allegedly revolves around whether Islamic employees were allowed to say prayers in the workplace at the time of day specified by their religion.

The council says that the Heinz subsidiary "created a new policy that abolished a break time used by Muslim employees to pray their evening prayer. The employees were prohibited from praying outside of the newly implemented work breaks, which did not coincide with prayer times."

Heinz said it is "strongly committed to recognizing and protecting religious diversity in the workplace," and that in Le Center it provided two prayer rooms for employees where the workers were "to take prayer breaks as a special accommodation to the requirements of their faith."…

If I was the employer, I would simply state that if you don’t like it here . . . there’s the door! With so many people out of work in our current economic climate finding a suitable replacement should be fairly easy. These demands are just plain ludicrous. Think of it this was, what if every employees of every faith made similar demands of the employer. Now the employer has to either deny all of the demands (the fiscally smart move) or make concessions for every group thereby incurring higher costs which will eventually be passed onto the customer. Do muslim customers want to be supporting non-muslim religious interests? My guess would be no more than we non-muslims want to support their religious interests. In fact, I may go as far as to state that the muslim group might possibly start rioting and destroying the very community that they live in to make their point. With Islam there is NO religious tolerence. May God almighty help us all. We need him now more than ever. Minnesota, your are in my prayers constantly.

Muslims keep pushing for more and America gives in time and time again. This is such a fuc*ed up story. It’s very simple work is work and prayer is prayer. When you go to work you work and when you go to a Mosque/Synagogue/Church you pray. You don’t work in a house of prayer and you don’t pray where you work. But Muslims just don’t get it. It’s not enough that they pray in locker rooms while blocking people from accessing their lockers, like that case a few years ago at Fitness USA. They have to have breaks for their five-a-day prayers and G-d forbid they handle something with pork in it, never mind that it’s either wrapped well or in a box. If you don’t handle pork, WORK SOMEWHERE ELSE YOU FUCKING IDIOT!!!!!! Stop demanding that we accommodate your every need, when in Rome………

Isaac Freund, you are aware that Jewish men also are required to pray at specific times, at least one of which will correspond to someone’s work shift. You also know that to work on the Sabbath is a flagrant violation of Jewish Law and you do know that certain foods are prohibited to Jews, making “team building” events difficult to participate in, right? I mean you do know that if an Orthodox Jew wishes to work, he needs accommodation for these things, as well as for his beard and headcovering, correct. The head covering, Food and Sabbath also apply to Jewish women. So let’s see. Muslims can’t work in America without giving up even their innocuous beliefs because they are a threat to the American way of life and Jews also can’t work in America because? Because the fact is you hate us and want us all out of your “Christian” country and it’s our fault that Obama got elected and we don’t need jobs because we have all the money in the world.I’m sure I missed a few but I think that covers the most important reasons. Did I get that right?

O/T but there’s evidence that the Muslims are behind the UK riots: http://news.nationalpost.com/2011/08/10/would-be-terrorists-looking-to-capitalize-on-u-k-riots/
“Islamist extremists are trying to capitalize on the riots engulfing Britain, calling on their followers to help incite further violence so that a terror attack can be launched amid the chaos.
Via “jihadist” websites, the extremists say English-fluent Muslims should infiltrate social media with messages that encourage the rioters so that the police remain “preoccupied” by the disturbances, according to the Washington-based monitoring group SITE.
The extremists are characterizing the violence as “useful” for London-based terror cells, saying the rioters are young and impressionable, and can be easily manipulated if the messages appear to be the sort of things they would write.
The extremists reason that by extending the violence, the police will drop their guard against jihadist terror planning.
The increased chaos could also force the British government to withdraw troops from Afghanistan, some of the sites say.
“The events in London are an opportunity for the mujahedeen to make a move in London and attack,” says one prominent entry, adding that continued violence “may weaken the position of (the British) staying in Afghanistan, because the soldiers will be needed in London.”

John Bolton has stated again that he is thinking about running for president. Bolton would make an excellent candidate (perhaps we’d even get the chance of someone like West as VP) and should be encouraged to take this step. So far Romney is still the GOP leader, and while he would be infinitely better than O-Zero and might even be able to beat him if Zero keeps screwing up, at the very least having Bolton cracking the whip over these Republicans would bring a great advantage to the campaign. Here’s his latest statement:

@ Bohemond_1069.You mentioned a very valid point about what would happen if every religious group were to demand accommodation to suit their peculiar needs. There would nobody working.
Every time the quranimals make a demand the rest of us should come up with our own demands. For a start Christians, Hindus and Buddhists should stop eating halal food at the cafetaria. I know for sure Christians are not allowed to eat meat that is slaughtered to the moon god allah. See here for details.
“Halal Meat – Forbidden to Christians
You are to abstain from food sacrificed to idols, from blood, from the meat of strangled animals and from sexual immorality. You will do well to avoid these things.”
Acts 15:23-29

MK750- Orthodox Jews (LIKE ME) don’t apply for job positions that have requirements that interfere with our religious requirements. We don’t take jobs requiring Friday night/Saturday shifts then demand those times off. We don’t take jobs that have requirements that conflict with any of our religious beliefs and then after-the-fact make demands on the employers. Muslims, and pretty much ONLY MUSLIMS, do this- on an all-too-regular basis. If you can’t handle pig or alcohol products, you don’t apply for work at places with those items. If you must pray at exact times, you don’t apply for jobs that don’t allow breaks at those times. It’s not about violating your rights- it’s about you being an ASSHOLE.
And BTW- Jewish head coverings are rabbinical requirements, not Torah commandments, therefore we don’t HAVE to wear them if there is an issue of interference with a livelihood or safety etc. If my job requires no facial hair to accommodate a gas mask, the beard goes or I get a new job- I wouldn’t even think of suing.
As for prayer times, in Judaism we have 3 divisions of the day for prayers, and the divisions are pretty large chunks. I pray before work, and then after. Not during, except in winter, then it may be necessary for afternoon prayers during work hours- in which case I can do so on a regular break, as afternoon prayers usually only about 15 minutes.
THAT’S the difference between muslims and Jews. We integrate and adapt where necessary. They intimidate and demand wherever.

MK750, my comment about “it’s about you being an asshole” was not directed at YOU, it was directed at muslims or others who take jobs knowing fully well those jobs will interfere with personal requirements, then demanding the employer to make changes. I believe you are Jewish as well as me.
Also, my religious holidays are accommodated via my use of normal company issued vacation time. I haven’t been able to take a “real” vacation in years because I have had to use my normal vacation time for religious days off.

SumDum Phool- you explained this beautifully. Jews do not intimidate or play the victim/lawsuit card. If nothing else has been proven about muslims, it is that you cannot give an inch. Whether it be workplace accomodations/appeasement/surrender or land for “peace”.

Hesedrachamim, what are you talking about? I’m an orthodox Jew(I dont have a beard, but whatever) and there are no “specific times” that a Jew needs to pray. A Jew prays in the morning, afternoon and night. I start work at 7:30, so you know when I pray? 6:00. I pray in the afternoon at my Lunch Break(afternoon prayers are short, they can be completed in even 5 minutes) and I pray at night after work is over. I don’t take my lunch break and demand another break later for Mincha(afternoon prayer). I do my work and get my prayers in when I can, I don’t try and force extra accomodations, I’ve never dared to even ask.

I didn’t see SumDum’s comment. He’s spot on. Besides for what we both said, there’s also another minor difference between Judaism and Islam: Judaism is peaceful, Islam isn’t. Don’t look away from whats right in front of your face: Muslims are suing the hell out American companies, where are all the Jewish Lawsuits?
